IIA Mapping Project The IIA Mapping Project is a cooperative initiative between UNCTAD and universities around the world to represent the content of IIAs. The resulting database serves as a tool to understand trends in the development of the IIA, assess the prevalence of different policy approaches and identify examples of contracts. The “Mapping of IIA Content” allows you to browse the results of previous projects (the page will be updated regularly when the new results are updated). Cooperation is very effective in the areas of standards and conformity assessment. In 2012, a web-based tool, the European-China Standardization Standardsization (CESIP) information platform, was created to provide companies with information on standards applicable to highly regulated highly traded products. This platform can help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) achieve international goals. In the area of conformity assessment, one of the priorities is to strengthen exchanges on product risk assessment, risk management and market surveillance, in order to support China`s work to simplify the Chinese Propellant Certification System (CCC), a system that requires certain products to comply with Chinese national standards. Other priorities include promoting international standards, improving the use of voluntary international conformity assessment systems and improving competition in certification services. The dialogue with AQSIQ takes place regularly at the level of the working groups. In addition to standardization and conformity assessment, there are working groups on the following sectors: a plenary session is held each year to discuss important issues and plan future cooperation.

The EU and China discuss policies and discuss trade and investment in a number of dialogues: although the EU currently has a trade deficit with China, the EU exports EU exports to other destinations; indeed, the EU`s overall trade balance is positive. . . .
